    Research 

    Dr Carlos Siu Lam’s current research interest is in the gaming industry of Macao. He has been a visiting scholar at the Institute for the Study of Gambling and Commercial Gaming, University of Nevada Reno, USA. He has published articles in such gaming journals as International Gambling Studies, Gaming Law Review and Economics, and UNLV Gaming Research & Review Journal. Apart from presenting papers at conferences organized by such organizations as the International Association of Gaming Regulators, he has written gambling reports for foreign jurisdictions such as Bulgaria. In addition, Dr Siu’s book On the Frontline in Macao: Casino Employees, Informal Learning & Customer Service has been published by the world's leading publisher in gaming education, the UNLV Gaming Press.
